We did it on vacation because we didn’t want to bring the base.

I have a town and country van. I only use the seatbelt when installing my niece's infant seat.
Since infants are rearfacing you can stick them in the very back. The only bad thing is there is only one tether in the back but you only need that for forward facing seats.

The town and country and grand caravan are a pain for car seats, you would think a vehicle meant for families would be accommodating but it has its flaws. I would suggest if you have Facebook join car seats for the littles. They can make sure you have all kiddos properly seated.

@mommyof4plus2 when I first had my daughter we had a really old car. It didn't have any of the latches or anything. We just seatbelted the base in and it worked fine. There should be instructions in the manual on how to do it safely.

I did when we were on vacation. I didn’t want to lug my base across the country.

Well I bought a Town and Country van bc we have our 4th coming... all ours in seats. The two bucket seats have hooks and the bench seat in the back only got one with hooks.... We will have a total of 4 in seats that need hooks. Two toddler seats and two infant seats....

@mommyof4plus2, As long as you follow the instructions in the manual and make sure it’s installed correctly then a seatbelt is perfectly fine to use. The seats are subjected to the same rigorous safety standards for using the belt like they are with the latch/base system.
