okay so random question. any of you guys ever get a steam burn from cooking? about 4 days ago i was baking food in the oven and i went to get it out and the lid fell off of it and a bunch of steam hit my middle finger. i hurried and put it down on the counter. it was a matter of seconds. i put my finger under cool water and it hurt for a couple hours then basically was only tender to the touch if my finger hit something or i bent it. well a bubble formed and ended up popping and i thought that was the end of that but then a day later another one foemed in a different area. it ended up popping and i have been cleaning it with soap and water and rubbing alcohol but the skin from the bubbles came off today and it hurts to bend it or if it touches something. and idk what to treat it with or if im doing this correctly. pic in comments cuz its nasty.

This is what I use. It burns when you first put it on but just for a second

Now that the blister popped put some Vaseline on it and cover it. I deal with burns on a weekly basis from work. Just be sure that you use enough so it doesn’t dry out.

yes it certainly does. and i know its gonna take forever to heal
Uhhhh·
It's actually best to leave a burn blister alone in future reference and let it pop on its own.
The "new skin" will be extra sensitive.
If you go to the doctor. You can get cream to put on it and loosely wrap it.
