The whole vaccines giving a child autism has been debunked. If someone says you’re a bad mom for protecting your child with a vaccination then that’s their problem. Guess they need to be educated.

I know that's hard to hear and hard not to internalize... but as other comments have said, those people just dont know any better. It's the same as your mother in law telling you to put rice cereal in your infants bottle because it'll help them sleep better. Some people are just not educated.

Autism is genetic not because of vaccines...my hubby, and his two brothers (hubby and middle bro undiagnosed but probably could have Asperger's, his youngest brother was diagnosed with Asperger's at a young age, he's turning 18 this Sept) and possibly even their mom could have it. It's nothing you did or something to prevent. I love my hubby and in laws and while challenging sometimes Asperger's is the lowest on the Autism spectrum (or at least it was at one point idk if it got taken off or not) anyway all 3 boys are so smart in different things, different personalities, but yet they still function as people, just not very well socially, that's all. If you have questions first ask your doctor, and two ask other moms with autistic kids. My hubby is turning 30 next Feb, and despite being socially awkward sometimes (although entertaining other times lol), has a good job, in the military and has a wonderful family (but I'm bias lol), middle bro is turning 27 in Oct, while also socially awkward he's so smart with computers, programming, and religion, also married but no kids yet. The youngest brother I already mentioned is turning 18 in Sept, the most socially awkward of the 3 (kinda annoying sometimes but can be pretty funny) he too is very smart with computers and video games. Just because they're autistic doesn't mean that a kid/adult can't do anything (unless they're really high on the spectrum then that's a totally different thing that I'm not familiar with). And something that the youngest has said that stood out to me is "it's kinda sad that some people would rather have their kid die of whatever disease then be autistic." Don't let whoever said those mean things get to you. You never know what your kids can do despite being autistic. 😊

How ignorant

1) Vaccines don’t cause autism. 2) An autistic child is better than a dead child. 3) There is NOTHING wrong with an autistic person. They’re some of the most loving and caring and brilliant people I’ve met. 4) Anyone who disagrees and tries to blame you doesn’t deserve a place in your lovely daughters life.

I got into an argument a long time ago with a chick telling me that vaccines made her husband and his brother autistic... no matter how hard I tried to get her to see the GENETIC PATTERN she had just stated, she would not listen. Some people just need "something" to blame. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
