Anyone’s kid allergic to mosquitoes? These popped up all over my daughters legs today and she had had maybe 1-2 mosquito bites. Nothing serious and has had some before but the NP said she thought it was just an allergic reaction. But we don’t know to what or even if the mosquitos. If the meds don’t help I may be getting a second opinion because some of them have opened up and started seeping. Anywho. If your kids are allergic to mosquitos what are the things you have done to help prevent this?! Because it seems like spray doesn’t help much around here. They are relentless.
Im allergic! I say make a paste out of baking soda and water, apply let dry and should be good if not ik theres a bug bite medicine that helps with it if it dont work for u. Ive done everything only the baking soda has really worked for me and abit of benadryl helps too
My son is 7 and still gets horrible mosquito bites! They scab and take like 2 weeks to fully go away. We do Benadryl itch cream on them right away
My son is allergic to mosquito bites and I'm horrible because we don't do anything, unless he gets a bunch at a time. Even then we usually do over the counter remedies like cortisone or oatmeal baths. He just does his best not to pop them by scratching. They are kind of like large water blisters on him. I just try my best to keep him from getting bites in the first place.
My daughter is. When she gets bit or swells and starts to pus.
I never knew this was a thing! Crazy. Anything you have found to help lessen it?
@tiera_shaye, I didn’t either until she got a few bites one summer and I had to take her to the doctor. I was so bad I thought a spider bit her. I get the Benadryl cream to help with itching the doctor gives her this steroid ointment that works wonders when she gets a bite. Haven’t found anything to keep her from getting bit yet.
Yes I see it.my sons is way bigger. Hmit should go away. Make sure she doesn't scratch them.
Yeah! I have been trying to cover them and she hasn’t scratched them in front of us but who knows about at night in bed 😂 this is going to be a loooooooooong summer. It’s flooded where we live so mosquitos are awful right now.
Weird! I wonder if it will go away. I can’t imagine having to deal with this every single time they get bitten. 😕 I feel so bad because I can only imagine how much more uncomfortable they are.
Yes just recently found out. And he didn't itch at them and they left a weird scar
Really? Does it kinda look like a bruise? She got a bite like 2 1/2 weeks ago on her cheek right under her eye and now still has a mark there.
Anyone’s kid had or have braces? Aly has a consult in the morning because she needs them but I’ve never had to deal with this and don’t know what to expect.
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Breastfeeding information and tips
This is a post I've made to help women who are thinking of breastfeeding, or are breastfeeding and may have some questions about breastfeeding. It is also aimed to help women who may be experiencing problems with breastfeeding and may need to know how to deal with these problems because most breastfeeding problems can be sorted.

Sometimes you know your body better than everyone else. Not every woman will produce high levels of hcg throughout pregnancy some it can take weeks some it can take months don’t trust a blood test don’t trust a urine test trust your heart and when you know it’s times it’s time this doctor was not a gynecologist so he did not give me a quantitative blood test to actually see what my hcg level is at I hope this helps some of you ladies who just feel like giving up and stop testing because of what ...
I'm allergic too, it feels like welts and itches for weeks if I dont do the baking soda trick. Or a little toothpaste if you are in a pinch. And definitely some Allegra/Claritin/etc. Always been this way and I seem to attract them no matter what bug spray I use :-(
