Anybody else have a hard time looking at themselves in the mirror after having their baby?
I literally hated myself after I had Marley. I still don’t like what I see but I’ve grown a lot more comfortable with it, but am still working to lose the weight. I’m not huge or anything & most people tell me how good I look, but I don’t feel that at all. After my first two I basically snapped right back instantly with no effort. I gained more weight after having her on top of baby weight so that didn’t help. But literally day after, still in the hospital, & I was wearing tight ass clothes & was like wow I still have a huge belly & then was uncomfortable because of my cramps but I wanted to “look good” & it took my husband saying “babe, what are you even doing? You JUST had a baby yesterday, of course your belly isn’t flat.. wear something comfortable & relax you’ll look fine” & I realized I was being ridiculous. He thinks I look good regardless & who else do I need to worry about impressing? We’re not the royal family, I won’t have news & paparazzi in my face so who cares? But for some reason I did until he said that.
Me me me 🖐 especially since I had two back to back basically 🤦🏻♀️ I feel god awful about myself when I look in the mirror but I’m trying to eat better and I’ve just started beachbody workouts. It’ll get better momma❤️
Yeah mine were really close together too.. need to find exercises that I can do with the baby
@ashtonndamon, definitely wait until your doctor clears you. I tried to include my babies and that was an epic fail lol
Me. I need to start exercising asap but it's so hard to find time.
Right! I just don't know when I'm allowed to start again. I don't want to stress my body if it's not fully healed yet.
@ashtonndamon most definitely, I'm almost 6 weeks pp and I wanted to start running at 2 weeks pp because I felt great but I figured I should wait lol
Yes i was diagnosed with post partum blues. I didnt feel sexy and i was a little depressed. Its mainly hormone based is what my ob said. I had a vaginal birth with a 1 degree tear so i just wasnt feeling good about myself after. It takes time but it gets better. Just be careful. Post partum blues and ppd are very similar but very different. You may need to be on a prescribed anti depressant. Talk to your ob about it for sure. Keep communication with your significant other also so they know how to better help you feel good about yourself again.
@kristinachau21 yeah self care has been a struggle for me too... My babygirl doesn't ever let me put her down she starts screaming even if I just fed her and changed her butt..... And when I do get a shower she's on the floor in her bounchy thing
@ashtonndamon, yup I know the feeling when he goes to bed the first stretch he sleeps 2 hours straight I get so excited idk what to do sleep eat use the bathroom shower or alone time with hubby 😂😂😂😂😂
We have a racist on the APP ‼️
School fees
Having an intense debate on Facebook about school fees for public school. I'm in the "stop whining about school fees and stop having kids if you can't afford them" camp and there is the other camp of "free school is a constitutional right! It's bull s*** we have to pay anything at all".
We all have a different definition of “clean”🤢
I still do. I wound up with an emergency cesarean and still not ok with it some days 😒
