So I’m a bit bummed. I told my (usually)super supportive mom about the baby today. She was happy/shocked. One of the things she said really bothered me though. She said, “ I’d have thought you’d plan it..,” then stopped. I’m not sure how she was going to finish but it bothered me.

I’m obviously super happy to be pregnant but a bit surprised it happened so soon. It took 18 months with my dd so I wasn’t expecting to get pregnant so soon after stopping birth control, plus I’m still breastfeeding. I wanted at least two years between the two. I know 22 months is pretty close.

Sorry for rambling but I’m feeling deflated that she was negative about it. Now I’m wishing we waited a bit longer to start trying again.
