Spent easter Sunday with my grandparents who havent had a baby in well over fourty years and i felt like they kept picking at my parenting when i was trying to take care of my lo and on our way out i was having my husband strap our lo into a carseat and my grandma said when she was a mother they didnt have these fancy car seats and all 5 of her kids are still alive and have kids of their own like almost saying "oh she doesnt need that thing." God its irritating when older people say stuff like that ive heard it twice. Yes children need car seats its not safe! Ive even heard people be like oh when it was the 50s and i was on a car trip with family id just feed our little one on my lap. Like ahhhh. O.O How did parents back then think that was safe? Youre in a moving vehicle!

The number of cars on the road in the ‘50’s does not come close to the amount now!!! I would respond along the lines of, “Do you know how many fewer children die in car accidents now that we have these seats?!!”

My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

My daughter is 6m old and weve been introducing her to eating on her own with us monitoring while she holds her own bottle and my grandma said that children these days need held until their 9 years old or no room on the lap. I tried to explain that we bond with our daughter through interactive play times and feeding is meal time where we monitor how many ounces she intakes plus baby food and for allergic reactions so that she can start to understand a sense of self apart from me. She completely ignored me and said that it wasnt good for her. I think my husband and i know whats best for MY child. We went through wayyy too many parenting courses and my husband is a retired pediatric hospice nurse who knows medical. People are just rude and need to back off.
