Should We Circumcise Our Child? Seeking Opinions

I don’t want to, but husband is for it because he was circumcised. 😑 If I’m having a boy I’m going to push for not. I have two nephews who are intact and they are fine!

Didn’t circumcise my son nor would I do it with any future sons. My husband is intact so there was no battle or anything but if he had wanted to circumcise I would have fought tooth and nail. I just feel strongly about body modification being the choice of the person it is being done to. Especially to someone’s sexual organ. 😩

I had to circumcise my son's but honestly if I didn't have to I wouldn't. It's up to you don't let anyone make you feel bad. Do your research

Do your research and do whatever YOU feel is best for YOUR child.

I think RIC should be illegal.

i have 1 boy who is circumcised and 2 that arent. if this baby is a boy he will be. the 2 who arent wasnt by my choice and now they're too old to deal with the procedure. but if this one is a boy yes he will be i prefer it and its easier to deal with in my opinion. if you dont like it dont do it. its all preference

If your husband and you don't want to do it, don't. Both my boy's are circumcised. It's personal choice. 🤷‍♀️

Anti circ here. Two intact healthy boys. First intact boys on both sides of the family. The procedure has been proven to be excruciating, and there’s no reason to do it. All the myths have been debunked.

I didn't do it to my son because his older brother and daddy are intact and it's been easy for them to clean themselves. No issues so far. But I'm not anti. Some people do it for medical reasons and some people do it because it's easier for them to clean it that way. I say do your research, talk it through with your husband, and then decide. It's always best to have as much information as possible before making decisions like that. 🤷‍♀️

I think you should do whatever seems right to you. Nobody would know either way regardless unless you tell them. I would do your own research and not listen to anyone on here.

I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that we still do it so commonly in the U.S. It’s just cruel. Claims that it’s more hygienic for the penis have been debunked. I would not do it either!
