So out of nowhere, my son has started having extreme diarrhea. Theres been no change in diet, other than having to give a little more formula than usual because he wont sit still long enough to eat real food. He will eat some food, but his diet is still predominantly formula. For the past three days or so, hes had 2 or 3 diarrhea blowouts a day. They are so awful smelling it isnt even funny, and you can tell they irritate his butt because we'll change him immediately, but its still red wherever it touched. I plan on taking him to the doctor on monday, but does anyone have any ideas/tips for the mean time?

It could be a stomach bug. Try the binder foods like lizibear said as well as some pedialyte to keep him hydrated as well as his blood sugar up Incase it decides to drop.

Sounds like he could be developing a lactose sensitivity. Happened to J around a year too. We put him on lactaid, started making him eat more foods, especially crackers, and his belly calmed down very quickly. Bananas, applesauce, bread are all good binders
