Is their anything else you can use besides milk for mashed potatoes if you don’t have any milk on hand right now?
Whipped cream or half and half, my friend uses cream cheese. Butter is perfect if you have none of these
I second sour cream or cream cheese. Or both lol I’ve even used mascarpone cheese before and it was delish.
i use sour cream and cream cheese
Omg everything sounds good right now lol gonna definitely try the sour cream tonight
Ive made mashed potatoes with just butter in them. No milk. Also added cheese before too. I dont know an alternative to that though.
Yeah let’s see what I come up with
@mommycusses cream cheese sounds so good
I never use milk for mine I do:
1.Herb and Garlic cream cheese
2. Chicken broth
3. Cream of chicken soup (1 can)
4. Butter
Then blend with a hand mixer.
@beakymcspence, mmm sounds so good right now I’m gonna probably have to use it next time or make two different batches of mashed potatoes and let you know how they come out,, shit I agree with them
Never had it but sounds real tasty 🤤🤤🤤
That sounds really good but I hate those little bits of chicken in the cream of chicken soups 😩 do you notice that in your recipe or does the hand mixer break it up enough?
@modom16, I actually find that the mixer catches all those annoying bits in the blades lol there’s never actually any in the potatoes. I also use the no name brand cream of chicken so there’s much less chunks in it to begin with 😂
@growingmissmarnie, sounds so good right now might have to do that! Does it taste really good will be my first time using sour cream
@mommycusses, I really like it. It makes them really creamy. It’s my favorite way to make them.
@growingmissmarnie, I love sour cream in general so I think I would love this way a lot, I’m pregnant so that sounds so good to me right now
I mean besides butter it’s gonna have butter in it too just don’t have the milk to put in it right now forgot it at the store and don’t feel like going out with two kids that not feeling well
