Has anyone on here had shingles during pregnancy? I have it, urgent care dr didnt seem concerned with it affecting baby but just curious if anyone's had any complications

Thank you 😊 Its so crazy I literally had no idea I even had it. I left A message with obs nurse. They close at 12 today so I doubt I'll hear anything back today

Yeah there’s not much they do for shingles during pregnancy, you basically just let it run its course and try and treat the itching.
That being said most of the time there’s zero complications and it just goes away on its own. I’ve had a couple patients who got bacterial infections from scratching etc, but aside from that you should be good ❤️
@beakymcspence Awesome news! Thank you. Thats basically what the urgent care doc said but my OB looked a little freaked when she saw it. I honestly had no idea what it was. It's drying up now so hopefully it'll be gone soon. Now im worried my 1 year old and hubby are gonna get chicken pox since they've never had it. He touched it trying to doctor it for me 😪
I did. Nothing they can do about them because your pregnant just told me to buy some creams for itching. Ugh they burn do bad too

@nana2611 thank you. Ive been so worried and stressed out after I found out bc my ob was closed. I had no idea I thought it was just some pregnancy related rash. Mine doesnt hurt really bad. Just slight burning and lots of itching. Im scared my 1 year old is gonna have chicken pox now 😑

So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. You should call your OB and tell them ❤️. Shingles suck. I hope you feel better soon. My mom had chicken pox with me, it didn’t do anything really- I did have no enamel on one of my baby teeth which I heard can be from that, but it thankfully a back tooth and able to be capped when noticed.
Since your at the end of your pregnancy it’s a whole lot better than if you had it during your 1st trimester.
