I’m having trouble keeping my 4 year old buckled in his car seat 😫 when I’m driving he unbuckles his chest clip I’m constantly stopping to buckle him in again any tips on how to get him to stop ✋
My four year old had a meltdown getting on the bus and the lady goes I Hope the next stop can get their little girl buckled in next to him like I’m Not keeping him home every meltdown he has this bus driver annoys me
Grounds for divorce ! That’s it I’m leaving him. He can’t “hang” his towel right I’m done haha!!
Has anyone dealt with bullying towards their child? My son is in SK and he takes the bus to school everyday. He was at this one bus stop and all the older kids and some kids his age would push him to get on top the bus before him. So I moved his stop last month and now that he’s the second stop the kids that pushed him won’t let him sit in his seat and tell him to get away. I’ve talked to the school many many times and they say they talk to the students but I don’t think they really care. Seeing my sons face sad breaks my heart because me and my husband teach him to be kind to others. (I’m balling my eyes out even writing this) Is there any advise you ladies can give ? Please ☹ 😭
My son pooped and he started grabbing his diaper from the front by his genitals and screaming like he was in pain! And I cleaned him off , even rinsed with water and that made him scream even more . So I freaked out and I’m driving him to urgent care but he’s soundly asleep now? What the heck could it have been. I’m still taking him in to be seen because I’m not going to risk it happening at night and having him to bring him in later .

If that doesn't work:
You can try the Houdini trick of the button up shirt.
Or
You can try a different type of harnessed booster with things on the straps to prevent it. Let me see if I can grab a pic.

It's hard to tell because they're dark, but are the straps coming from at or above his shoulders? It doesn't look like it, but I wasnt sure. If not, bump them up and untwist them. Once you do, make sure when you tighten them, they pass the pinch test. That might curb it

@angm.2213 I would. I know they say at the shoulders or.. but I personally have not felt comfortable with at the shoulders.

My son started doing this by 2. It was so annoying. We had to put a button up shirt on him backwards then we started using the same things that are on seat belts to stop it from happening and it worked. It's like a tiny plastic button that goes through the belt to stop the clip from slipping down. But now he does not do it anymore thank goodness. We tried the talk with him about how bad he could get hurt in an accident and if we were ever stop by a police man he would not be happy to see him out of his seat belt, it did not work

I never let my son buckle his car seat till he was like 5 1/2 for this reason.
I wanted him to know that only I could put him in and take him out. Maybe do what pp said. he’s old enough to understand that it’s not okay to
Unbuckle himself until the vehicle is stopped and your keys are out of that ignition. Hope it works!

My son is suuuuper emotional just like I am so one day I pulled over and cried to him telling him how sad I would be if he kept unbuckling himself and we got in a car crash and he was so freaked out by it that he wouldn’t unstrap himself until I told him he could. I don’t think that works for everyone. That’s just what I had to do.
