What is everyones religion? What is your religious preference? Im christian but i dont believe in judging based on religion, sex or sexual preference. I believe in equal rights for everyone black, white, mexican, indian, islamic, muslim, Jewish, wiccan.. doesnt matter to me. We all make the world go round. Maintaining respect in differences is key to success in my opinion. Just curious where everyone else lies.

Pentecostal but was raised by abusive nondenominational alcoholics, my mom and step dad would try to force me and my siblings to believe, think, act, walk, talk the way they did and if we didn’t we were abused verbally, mentally, and physically it was a rough childhood but I thank God for staying by my side through it all because of it wasn’t for him giving me the strength and the patience to get through 18 years of constant abuse from my mom and step dad I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

@theharmans2018, That’s awful I pray his parents realize one day how wrong it is to abuse children for how they choose to believe.

@amberdaugherty no his bio father was in prison for attempted murder. He didnt care. He thought it was funny. Hes just a horrible person. His bio mom stole from all of her 3 kids constantly and was emotionally abusive. She was in prison for fraud at least 3 times. She is the only one afraid of prison

I was raised in an uber religious family but im more christian based spiritual. I believe in the chakra and angels that are meant to guide us in our path in life. I believe in spiritual encounters and that our loved ones watch over us after death as guardians to ensure we are safe. I was definitely not raised that way. My parents didnt believe in spirits or encounters. I was told i was going to hell for it more than once. Its crazy what people dont accept. Its like why does my belief in anyway effect you?

Isnt it weird in a christian family to have to "come out" as atheist. I take my daughter to church but i will never force her to believe the way we do. If she wants to be a different religion thats fine but for purposes of us not having daycare on sundays we simply request she come to church with us. She doesnt have to pay attention to the sermon. She can read for all we care but when shes old enough we dont mind her staying home if she chooses.

I come from a catholic family. My SO and his family is also catholic. We do not let religion dictate our lives. A lot of our relative are active members of whichever church they attend. My SO and I will also be raising our kids in the catholic faith. Letting them decide later in the future if that is the path they will continue in, or if they have a change of heart. We will support them.

I’m atheist. I always felt out of place when my family took me to church as a child. I could not distinguish why the Bible, etc. wasn’t considered a fairy tale when I was little. As a teen, I found out my father was atheist as well so it was nice to have that. My sister later came out as well.

Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk outside without this information. Children of color are being targeted and killed too. It’s not just adults. I let my son know we treat everyone equally and with respect. I let him know that we love everyone for their differences. In every aspect. Color, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual preference we love everyone.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Religion Conspiracy/Theory **This is not to bash peoples religion and beliefs but to talk about our own theories and ideas** I would like to discuss a certain topic that came to mind after talking to my SO. I know some of you ladies like a good conspiracy talk so i would like to have a good discussion and hear thoughts of others. So back story my SO friends got very offended when he mentioned not believing in god or religion and it got me thinking. Is religion a failing form of goverment control? Religion and goverment have been operating for a very very very long time and co existed together. So back before church and state were seperated the goverment and religious officals worked together create ideals that would be implemented into the lives of every person they can get a hold of and spread it from one person to another thus the population would act a certain way and follow everything the church had to say and those who opposed it with diffrent beliefs and religion would get killed. Once the people started questioning their actions they created the devils image to have people fear something greater and get their attention away from them. So they justify their "sins" by doing it in the name of god and since they are doing it for god then its ok because they are cleaning the world of evil. So to present day church and state is somewhat seperated now and less people are starting to not believe in god or any religion (including my SO and i) that promote fear to have people act a certain way or they will suffer for all eternity. So back to the question do you think its possible that religion is starting to be a failing form of goverment control?
