Hey ladies ! My 7m old is about 18lbs,, I just started to take her out of her car seat instead of lugging the car seat around. When did you ladies start leaving your car seat in the car, or what occasions do you bring it ?

My daughter outgrew her infant car seat at 5 months. At that point, I would put her in the stroller or Ergobaby depending on our location.

About that age. I've started doing it with my 8 month old. He needs a convertible seat anyway. He's about hit the height limit. Crazy tall genes.

I never used it with our daughter. I always carried her.

It varied for us - depended on what was more convenient, if there was room for it in the place we were going, what weather was like, how much other stuff I was carrying. Lol
We just upgraded to a larger carseat though and it always stays in the car now.

I put my son in his convertible at 6m because he wanted to look outside and the infant seat was so low. 🤣 He definitely could have stayed in the infant seat for a while yet but I got a good deal on the converable so just switched him ‘early’. I spent a lot of time with him in a baby carrier though when we would shop to help keep him close and secure. :)
