So I feel like a terrible mom... last night I was up and puking a lot and Randy was sleeping with me. His dad had him in his arms when I had the urge to puke. I don’t know if that woke randy up, but he crawled off the bed 😭😭 we did a body check, and he’s seeming fine. I asked his grandparents to text me if anything seemed off, but he was his usual smiley self this morning.. I know he shouldn’t be sleeping with me, so please don’t judge me for it... but has anyone else had this happen, and if so what are some things I should be aware of?

We Co sleep with both kids. Both have fallen off before. It happens. I personally prefer them sleeping with us, so I can check on their breathing throughout the night lol

I definitely check that every night, but also since I work full time I feel like this is my bonding time with him during the work week 😩

My daughter has coslept with me from day one. When she was about 4 months old I stuck some pillows around her while I stepped into the bathroom to fill her bottle with water to make her one and within those couple minutes she fell off the bed.
She didn’t even cry or anything.

All of my kids besides the youngest has rolled off the bed or a couch. It happens to sooo many people. As long as he’s not throwing up, lights aren’t bothering him and his eyes seem fine I think he’s all good. The hospital makes you keep the kid awake and active for 4 hours just to make sure. After that they can sleep if they want.

Has happened with every kid at different ages and I didn't typically cosleep with any of them. My last was 1 and old enough to get down but we fell asleep watching tv with him by my feet and he rolled off. The worst was my daughter at a month old, i put a pillow on each side of her and she was obviously not rolling and i ran downstairs to grab a drink and heard a thump. She scooted on her back to the edge of the bed at 1 month! She ended up cruising at 6 months and walling at 9. She was advanced. But none of them got hurt. If he is acting normal i would say he is ok.

I coslept until like last month lol. However it happens, kiddos roll off the bed. I think my son first did that around that age. It's scary, but I'd probably watch to see if he's vomiting, acting cranky or out of the ordinary, drowsy, stuff like that. My son still falls off of things lol

All of my kids have fallen off the bed at some point. It happens. If he’s not extra drowsy then he should be fine.

Yes I have because my daughter is extremely active and advanced. She likes to try to leave anything she’s in. Good thing he’s 8 months and not as small as my daughter. So I took my daughter to the doctor when this happened and what he did was just check her head for bumps, made sure she didn’t have pain in her arms and legs by moving them in all different ways and see if it cause pain. Check ears for bleeding, and just made sure she was her normal self. So if you did all of that he should be fine. You can always take him to get checked as well. And if it ever happens again you have to make sure to keep them awake for at least 30 minutes - 1 hour

Thank goodness... yes I did check everywhere on his body and there were no bumps anywhere, and his ears were fine. He was up and crawling around this morning and didn’t seem in any pain, but I may just take him in to be sure I didn’t miss anything. I just feel terrible 😩

@momtooneboy, I know. I posted on here when my daughter fell as well. I still feel terrible.. but that’s ok, and I’m sure it’s only going to get worse as they get older lol. But we are doing our best and that counts ok. You’re still a great mom and it shows because you reached out for help! I’m sure he’s fine
