I might get induced April 8th

I now have a running joke with my OB. Both of my last two pregnancies she left for Mexico when I was 36 weeks and was due back around my 38 week mark. Both times other doctors had to deliver my son’s. My first she had arrived at the hospital but hadn’t checked in to her computer yet before I was taken for my c-section (serious circumstances) she came to visit an hour after I was in my actual recovery room, and apologized promising to be there for my next one. (OB who delivered was awesome especially with how scary it got in the middle)

Second baby she was gone until after I was discharged. OB who delivered my first had induced me the night before, but then left for his vacation at 7:15am after informing me that I was indeed 5cm and ready for an epidural if I wanted one. Enter doctor I know just not well who thank the Lord had VBAC privileges at my hospital! He delivered while teaching a male OB student how to deliver and talking sports with my husband (I was so loopy I was making jokes at all of them and slightly weirding out the doctor.

Now I’m pregnant with my third and my OB has promised she will not take a vacation late in my pregnancy this time. Keep in mind my boys were born in June and February so it’s not like it’s a reoccurring trip for her. Let’s see if she makes it this September.😆😆😆😳
