Waiting on the dr to call because my son is eating four oz at a time but every diaper change is a poopy diaper so I think the formula might be messing with him and making him eat sooner than he should 💙

He is eating four oz but he poops after every single feeding and then he wants to eat another 2 oz this is why I called his dr because I think the formula is messing with his belly

Its likely not hunger. Banys cant distinguish hunger pain from belly aches, reflux, etc. Definitely be sure to pace feed. 5 mins per oz.

If it helps this just a general chart. All babies are different though so keep that in mind. As babies get older they will want more food with longer time in between. But 3-4 oz sounds pretty normal.

@laniejay, yeah hold on I’ll copy and send it to you! I just chose that chart out of the like 5 that pulled up but they’re all basically saying the same thing. Expect pampers is saying 4oz per lb and I was like woah that’s not accurate lol. My sister was eating 3-4 oz at a time when she was almost a month but then again she would stretch it out and not drink again for like 4 hours. I can’t say for sure for my son though cause he had a weight loss/eating issue and was on breastmilk

4oz?!? Good lord, this is why people overfeed their kids. So much bad information!

or how some parents keep feeding the baby while they sleep, or when they’re upset, cranky etc instead of trying other things. That’s usually not hunger which can cause overfeeding too!

4oz is a lot in a feed for 3 weeks. Are you paced feeding?

its very easy to stretch a bottlefed baby's belly. Unfortunately, it happens often.

4oz at a time isn’t bad, my son ate a lot too. But how often is he eating?

Let’s retry this again... Moms does this look like heat rash? I noticed it last night when i was putting him to bed, he hasn’t had anything new to eat or drink so I’m confused as what it could be... i just don’t want to take him to the dr and them just say it’s heat rash but also want to know that it’s nothing more.. and we haven’t switched diapers either..

At What Age Should a Child Make Their Own Breakfast?

Make your own breakfast! At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.

Trigger. Our precious boy

Trigger. Our precious boy Last night, December 8th, 2015, at 9:58pm, our sweet precious baby boy was born sleeping. We spent 5 wonderful hours with him: holding him, talking to him, singing to him, mourning him, praying for him, and weeping over him.

Diapers arent a gift for baby?

Diapers arent a gift for baby? My sister is coming down today to hang out with me and baby. She wanted to bring him some gifts. She got him an outfit, 2 toys, and a pair of shoes/booties. She said she wanted to get a little bit more and asked if there was anything else she could get as a gift for him and I said he can always use diapers. Her reply was that Diapers aren't a baby gift, they would be a gift for us and while she'll happily pick us up a pack she wants to get him something he needs and can use.
