So I’m still trying to figure out what to do about my doctor forcing me to have a c-section. This gives me terrible anxiety 😓 I never had a problem with my two previous births and now they throw this at me.
Looks like google MD 😅 says that ruptured arachnoid cysts are instantaneous and can be life threatening. I guess this new doc is just doesn’t want to take any chances?? I would ask at your next appt.
So you have a cyst on your brain that could burst while you’re laboring. Strenuous pushing. The fluid that leaks out could put pressure on your brain and could lead to a scary situation. This is my guess as to why she won’t let you labor naturally. You had your last 2 vaginally with no complications?
I agree 100%. I used to just listen to whatever my doctor said but this is getting out of hand
@kharvell18845 definitely do that. Talk to anyone and everyone you can about this. There have been many many cases of doctors getting court orders to force women to have C-sections against their will. Just in case I would be prepared if that's what your doctors are going to try to do. Basically they can get a court order to become The Unborn Child legal guardian and force you.
@momsrmagical, what??? That’s ridiculous! Because it doesn’t even have to do anything with the baby, he’s totally healthy. These doctors think they can control everything. I’m sick of it!
@kharvell18845 yeah, this is really a thing. They absolutely do think that they can do whatever they want because they have a PhD or a doctorate. Makes them feel like they have seniority but as our civil rights and as human beings we have the right to refuse and nobody should be able to force anybody to do anything. All the technology and the medicine that we have today and still to this day every time a woman becomes pregnant she's putting her life at risk. Many women still die from giving birth and a C-section is absolutely absolutely more risky then a natural birth.
Why are you being forced to have a c section?
I had one. Was determined not to skipped the section about them in all it books. Baby was breech so I had to have one. It wasn’t nearly as scary as I thought it would be. Painful yes but not scary.
Well I wouldn’t be so upset about it if I was doing it for the baby but there is honestly no reason for me to have one. I’m just frustrated that my doctor is doing this to me now when I’ve had this cyst all my life
@kharvell18845, definitely get a second option or find a new doctor. I hope everything works out for you
What’s the reason they’re trying to make you have a c section? If you don’t mind me asking
I have a very tiny cyst on my brain. It has been there since I was born and it doesn’t do anything, it’s basically a pocket of fluid on the outside lining of my brain
No no no
She cannot force you to do anything you don’t want to do. Especially if you’ve never had a c section.
Get second opinion ASAP
Yes I had my last two vaginally with no complications at all. The cyst is so tiny though that my neurologist won’t do anything about it. It doesn’t put any pressure on my brain and I had an mri recently (last June) that showed that it wasn’t doing anything to the vessels around it. It’s on the outer protective layer of my brain so not really on it. It’s called an arachnoid cyst. I’m just confused how if it’s already there and if it bursts how it would cause more pressure?
