I just got told I was going to Hell after an old lady saw my self harm scars. Lol, thank you, sweet lady, but unfortunately I am not a Christian nor do I believe in any specific God, but let’s make my self harm and recovery about your beliefs and forget how I feel at this exact moment.
Like, rather than asking how I am today and finding out that I was close to relapsing a few days ago, you choose to judge me for coping with SSI by self harm. Bye. ☹️

The way I see self harm scars are yours are visible. Mine could be hidden but everyone has a “self harm” scar just in different forms.
I over eat. I’m harming myself with my health. Someone that smokes harms their lungs and reduces their life.
A drunk harms their liver. A bitter person harms their soul. We (Christians) cannot judge someone for “sinning” differently than we do. The Bible says we ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Anyway, I don’t mean to ramble but if she knew her Bible and God better she would’ve never said that to you. I congratulate you for being 7 months clean! That’s a great accomplishment!!!

I do believe in God and I do consider myself a Christian, BUT people like this are the reason I do not go to church. As human beings, we all have struggles and sometimes life just plain sucks! Anyone who tries to pretend they are perfect and points out every single flaw in every other person is a hypocritical liar IMO. From my experience, the churches I’ve attended have quite a few “fake people”. Don’t tell me God is the only one who has the right to make judgements when you sit there talking shit and judging. Sorry for ranting on your post lol

Im kind of the same I do believe in god I'm not sure I fit in a category lol but I don't like church for the same reasons. Most are very hypocritical and I thought we were supose too like each other.
Oh, I grew up in churches like that and at 18 I finally decided to take a break and search for my own faith. I still try and look into it and learn, but the people I come across are just... I have no words. Judgment for being a mom and not married and self harm and all of the above. I just.. I can’t believe it.

So proud of you. I been clean for 9 months hard as hell but I keep telling myself I can’t self harm while being pregnant. Self harm is a topic no one talks about, when you do talk about it people wanna argue that it’s not a addiction. But it really is. I have so many people stare at my scars but never had anyone say anything. Just remember every day you wake up is another day you defeated. Stay strong and stay clean. It’s so nice to see some of my scars fading. I know some will forever stay but it’s nice to see them lighten up. If you need to talk message me any time ❤️
I’ve had those scars she was referring to since I was 14, I’m now 20 and I had literally forgotten all about them because I got used to having them. 🤦🏼♀️ At first I was so confused by what she was trying to say.. Thank you so much. 💜

Sadly some beliefs say id you harm yourself or kill yourself you go to hell. That woman is just stupid. That's great you're 7mth clean. You should be proud of yourself. Focus on that instead.
