Everyone is finding their gender out at 13 weeks but in my state they try and wait 18-20 weeks ... this not fair I’m tell my doctor I want to know at 13 weeks

@mommydutieskoko, at around 10 weeks you can have the chromosomal test (it has different names based on which company manufacturers it for your hospital) it tests for tesacks (sp) Down syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities. It also has the side benefit of telling gender.
It’s a simple blood draw. I had it with my second son and it came back 98% certain of boy and no chromosomal abnormalities. He is definitely a boy, and no chromosomal abnormalities.

Your OB won’t do an ultrasound to determine sex until 20wks because that’s when it’s most accurate for gender. You can have an elective one (that you pay out of pocket for) around 13-15wks and they can tell you most times.
Or you can do the blood test that will tell you earlier.
