Water Definetely because that's what most of the milk is made from. Fenugreek is like a vitamin and it helps boost supply. Mothers Milk Tea is known to help but doesn't taste the best. Always make sure the feedings are constant and for a good amount of time each or the body won't produce the amounts you need. Baby has to have a good latch and suck. If she doesn't suck from you your body will think it doesn't need to produce. Eat and drink constantly through out the day, small meals overtime and during your feeds. So your body will constantly produce milk. Massage the breast to help keep milk ducts from getting clogged. The La Leche Group has tons of advice and I know they have lactation specialists for free at hospitals, WIC, even doctors offices, etc.
I did notice when I ate less protein or stressed out or got less sleep I’d produce less. Baby to breast or pump often. Lotssss of water! What helps me achieve a let down is breathing slowly and deeply with my eyes closed. Sometimes I’ll hold my son’s hand or just think of how sweet he is. Lol whatever works for you!
@ashley012000 you pump for 20 mins rest for 10mins pump for 10mins rest for 10min then pump for 10mins it like cluster feeding and tells the brest to make more milk.
