I call my husband babe, so now Ryleigh calls him babe. I’ll correct her and say “no, daddy” and she’ll say daddy, but then do it again lol. Like just now she woke up and was saying “babe” because she wanted him.
Sooooooo, I guess I have to rewire my brain to call him daddy instead of babe? 😂🤦🏾♀️
I never did it just cause it was only me and my mom when i was younger, but it’s super funny to me. My husband is just like dude whatever now so when she says it he’ll just be like “daddy, but yes Ryleigh?” lol
My son started coming up to me saying “hi baby!” I’m like whatttt? Lol he hears my husband call me baby a lot, and he thinks I’m all his that he’s not allowed to share me with daddy so now he’s been calling me baby instead of mommy 😂
That's funny I call my aunt Sissy because somebody called her. Im love the only one calling her sissy because I picked it up as a kid lol. My son calls her pat by her name.
My daughter called me Jai for a little while because of my step sons. Then her father kept practicing with her mommy and one day at the store she just called out mommy and I cried lol.
Also when I’m irritated I call my husband babe like when he’s beening a playful jerk lol and she does it too when he tickles her or messes with her lol.
Now she says Good at just calling him Baba which is what we use for dad/daddy. I usually only call him this so she finally just call him this or BA
My nickname has always been baby growing up... And now my daughter calls me baby but only when she cant get our attention.. Lol she thinks she's slick.. Still we correct her sometimes I slip up and forget to cause I'm so used to the name lol
My sister for the longest time called our grandparents grandpa him and grandpa her.... I've gotta watch what I say too... more in the sense of I have road rage and now my daughter likes to say "bish" (bitch).😒🤐😢😱
Yeah, someone almost hit us while i was driving one day and i said “Jesus Christ” and she repeated me i was like omg 😂🤦🏾♀️
My daughter used to always call me Alicia and I would be like no I’m Mommy she would be like ok mommy and as soon as my fiancé calls me babe or Alicia she would be like Alicia babe 😂
“Alicia babe” 😂 that’s so cute lol. But no little miss, it’s mommy! Haha
You can try but my kids call their dad baby. He tries to get them to say daddy but it’s a losing battle. Just tell him to ride it out lol
My daughter calls everyone by their first name sometimes or calls my husband her husband 😂 we try to refer to each other as mom and dad so she’ll call us that
I’ve gotta start. It’s just so weird for me to say dad or daddy lol 😂 Kids really always throw a new challenge at you everyday 😂😂
We went through this with my daughter at this age! Lol except she used to call me “honey momma” because my hubby would call me honey lol
@tennesseehawk, i think “babe daddy” would be a tad weird but honey mama is so cute 😂♥️
@dijahhh, haha ok agreed, I’m just sure it won’t last long, it seems like they pick up on new little quirks and leave old ones behind so quickly lol
Hahah! I have the same problem kind of!
I always say people’s name before I speak to them. So, I always say “Steven, ______”. So now my daughter regularly calls him “Stee-nen.” 😂. It’s so hard remembering to just say “dad” or “daddy”.
@dijahhh, so cute!
I feel like it will make a funny story when they are teens!
My pediatrician told me that his daughter would call both him and his wife “mommy-daddy”. She’d just smoosh them together 😂
@jennatess, yes, definitely funny story to tell! And omg that’s so funny! I guess his daughter was like hey, you both serve the same person aka me 😂😂
My daughter does that sometimes. Mostly she calls him dad but every once in awhile she’ll copy me and be like “baaaaabe! Come here please!” Or she’ll call him honey. We think it’s so adorable. Especially when she says honey.
I think it’s a phase of learning. I don’t remember ever doing it.
