Her eyes are beautiful. Hopefully they stay like that. My daughter had a similar color which changed to brown but my son also had that similar color & it changed to brown but one of his eyes have a green patch. I have green eyes & my husband has brown. What ^ said about both parents having to carry the green gene is wrong lol.. my father has blue eyes, everyone on his side has blue & my mother has brown.. everyone on her side has brown, so there’s not really telling until she gets a little older!
Yes babies usually have unique slate blue grey eye color at first. The eye pigmentation doesn’t develop until later on
@beerose, my kids eyes were grey for like over a year before they turned green. It was weird.
@joeywiththegoodhair, yeah one day just wake up with a different eye color 😂 but my mother has green eyes and her father has very light brown eyes. So I wonder if they will clash in any way
@beerose, green is very hard to get. My husband has them but I don’t. But I carry the green eye gene apparently. Both parents have to carry the green gene. Turns out I have the recessive trait for green. If I didn’t then she wouldn’t have green eyes. You have to have both parents give the green gene for green to become dominant it think. Which is why they are less common
