Any babies allergic to apples or absorbic acid (derived from vitamin c through chemical process to not full vitamin c despite even natural origin).
My little one has had this rash show up every time after eating Mott's no sugar apple sauce absorbic acid added. Which is considered generally safe for babies in low amounts.
I thought it might be the chair since she has rubbed her head against it and gotten it before. Along with rubbing it against other things too like fabric. She has had this rash from heat before too.
But definitely today she got this without rubbing her head.
I'm going to make her real apple sauce nothing added soon to see if it's actually apples! Because she really enjoys eating it. No fussiness, no swollen tongue or difficulty breathing. No bowel issues. She isn't overheated either.
Homemade apple sauce, no abscorbic acid added, no red reaction! She got this reaction to homemade strawberry food though. Too bad because she loves strawberries! But will have to wait until later on when she can communicate better on whether the rash hurts or makes her feel warm. She doesn't seem to be bothered. But later on when she speaks when can know for sure.
