My husband and I both agree our son comes first

I tend to put my children first, leaving my hubby neglected but I know I need to put more into my marriage. Only positive things can come from it, for the kids. In certain situations, the husband should come 1st. In my opinion.

Children to me always come 1st

Children. When I got with my husband I told him right away my son comes first.

It depends on the situation. Child will almost always come first, but spouse will come first if it's a situation where the child won't feel abandoned. Like, if the child is fine and he's super sick, or if the child is fine and he needs a date night to feel connected and loved. Your relationship is important too, and happy parents mean a happy child. (Not always, just generalizing for this discussion here.)

My children bc I only have a boyfriend it would be different if we were married

When my husband and I put each other first, the kids fully and completely benefit from it. 😊

My marriage come first. My daughter will only positively benefit from it. I’ve seen people all the time put the kids first for so long and when the kids leave they don’t even have a real relationship with the spouse anymore or they are already gone 🤷🏾‍♀️

Child! She came from me so she’s my top priority, he can take care of himself

I'll be the odd one out. My husband and I work as a team to care for our children. After our children are grown and gone we will need to have maintained a strong bond in order to stay together. We make our relationship a priority to better parent our children. I understand that our dynamic doesn't work for everyone and I would never be upset with anyone for putting their children first.

We both put the girls first but there are certain circumstances where he comes first.
