Please someone answer this question as to why these spots appear after I wash them? It's been happening as long as I can remember. Washer is only 3 years old about. And it seems to only happen on my kids clothes. I don't get it.

To me it looks like either spots from fabric softener or washing detergent.

Don't use fabric softener. Never have

This happens to me when I use dryer sheets. To avoid this I pour some white vinegar in the final rinse of the wash cycle.
