That last one though 😂
#true that's how I was raised and taught. #iamachristian #istandbythemorals
I appreciate the sentiment. The message isn’t lost on me but being single means you’re not in a relationship either.
I’m married but I have many friends who have been with their significant others for some time and their relationship isn’t any different than mine with my husband.
If you’re in a relationship, you’re not single. If you are single, it’s in name only.
Plenty of people are also married “in name only”. Meaning they cheat, they’re abusive, they’re not fully with their partners.
Married in name only. Single in name only. Neither means anything. They’re just labels. The genuine connection you have with your SO is all that matters. Love is all that matters♥️ you’re not single if your heart is taken by another.
It’s funny how relationships that aren’t marriage is defined as immoral but sex outside of wedlock isn’t. It’s funny how different sins are weighted differently here. When I’m going to be judge by God, He isn’t going to say, “you lied. That’s a little sin so it’s okay” but to someone else, “you murdered. That’s a bigger sin. That’s not okay.” A sin is a sin is a sin is a sin and therefore immoral just like this post that you provided.
I’m unsure what morals have to do with this SS. Can you elaborate?
The only thing that changed when we got married was my last name. 😊
Other people’s relationship status and how they define it or why is frankly none of your business. Just like how your cherry picking of Christian morals are none of mine. Mind your own.
Frankly, never said it was. Thanks for your input though ✌️😀
@anicole3285, you are really most certainly welcome for my input.
Babies out of wedlock aren't seen as very moral either, nor is living in sin... being hypocritical isn't very christian
@anicole3285 I'm fully aware of what a Christian is; I've studied it. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian, like standing in a garage doesn't make you a car. Behavior is what defines a person as Christian, the comments here and your way of lifr are full of hypocrisy and in no way define Christian morals. So until you can be the epitome of a christian, don't judge others.
@laniejay no one is jugding but you. It's hilarious how people don't like Christians because of how jugdemental they are but people like you are judgementmal. And I will agree with you on going to church doesn't make you a Christian. Of course it doesn't. But it's in the step in the right direction. You don't have to be a Christian to attend church.
@anicole3285 I've not made one judgement here. Just stated the facts.... you cant claim the same 🤷🏽♀️
I don't understand what you mean at all. As a Christian, when you're in a relationship you're not supposed to cheat. Regardless if you're married or not.
@anicole3285, hey, I can appreciate your opinions, and I can agree to disagree, but I can’t get behind tearing other people down because something else works for them. Invalidating others to validate your own set of morals and beliefs is just kind of lame. Even worse, on a social media app that has a mission statement of inclusion. There’s nothing wrong with sharing the same opinions as someone else, not with healthy debate, which I’m sure you could have anticipated before posting this. I don’t think Christian morals are narrow minded, I think Christian theology could be. And I’m sure you’re a wonderful person, but I don’t think I detracts from my personal opinion of your statement.
I don't see any downing of others. I respect everyone's opinions.
@anicole3285, it seems to me that’s the original intent of the post.
Seeing as you're Christian, I'm curious as to your morals about sex out of wedlock and birthing children out of wedlock?
@anicole3285 your first comment doesn't answer the question.
It does. It's in the 10 commandments hense my comment.
@anicole3285 your first comment where? I'm not seeing it. The only first comment I see is In reply to my very first comment. Which still doesn't answer the question.
So since you have a boyfriend and not a husband, does this mean you consider yourself single as well?
@anicole3285 so if he were to sleep around, you cannot get angry or upset because y'all are single until married?
@anicole3285, the marital bed is undefiled, not the bed of cohabitation. Having sex with a man you aren’t married to should go directly against your morals as should bringing children into this world while unwed. I think your moral compass is a bit tilted.
So how is having a boyfriend and children out of wedlock having morals
I’m going to go ahead and say that this has NOTHING to do with being christian, and honestly, it gives Christianity a bad name.
No it doesn't. This was how I was raised. I'm a pastor daughter and I'm sorry you feel like THIS gives Christians a bad name. Definitely doesn't though. In my opinion
@anicole3285, I am also a preachers daughter, so that’s no excuse. If you’re in a relationship, you should be committed to that person. If you can’t do that, don’t be in a relationship at all.
Totally narrow minded. Not all people are Christians or religious for that matter and some people don't actually believe in marriage. Doesn't mean they are single, far from actually. Up until a few years ago, there was a thing here called common- law marriage and was recognised by the government as a legal partnership. Can't believe in 2019 people still think this way.
This seems to be a bit narrow minded and judgmental... I’m sure there are a lot of women on here like myself, who are not married, but by no means are single. I can understand and appreciate your view of relationships and marriage, but it does seem a bit harsh to throw up a screenshot and statement inferring those who don’t share this same sentiment are somehow misguided and don’t understand their own relationship, perhaps even “immoral,” gleaning from your hashtags. Maybe I’m reading into this a bit too much, but ouch. Sort of hits home. I can’t help but vehemently disagree.
Haven't heard that one before. For.spme reason Christian morals are narrow minded. I'm definitely not though
Legally, on paper, yeah single ‘til married. Morally, no. If you’re in an exclusive relationship, you are not single.
I appreciate the sentiment. The message isn’t lost on me but being single means you’re not in a relationship either.

@anicole3285, my little sister is one of the strongest, smartest women I know. There was something off about her boyfriend of 7 years and I told her over and over again he’s fine, he seems perfect! What’s wrong? Months and months after the engagement and only a few weeks before the wedding, he hit her and it came out he has domestic abuse charges from a previous marriage he never once told my sister about.
I’m just saying sometimes it’s a gut feeling. She knew something was off but nothing happened to fully make her think something is seriously off until the worst happened! A few weeks later and they would have been married already and that would have been an even bigger mess
@_davina wow. Good thing she found out before she got married. Not in a good way but still found out
@anicole3285, He wasn’t even abusive. He drank too much one night and made a huge mistake that cost him his future with my sister and any respect he had from our family. Apparently he did that in his past marriage too. It was shitty but she never felt 100% secure with him like he’d always be there for her to love, cherish and protect her. It’s a gut thing. Trust it!
Do you stand by just these morals or all of their morals?
I have strong morals and a year after being with my SO I felt so mad at myself for giving up on them. And still do. I beat myself up pretty hard about it..
