If you have full coverage and are in an accident, no reports made, other vehicle had no damage and wanted to make no claims, but your vehicle was totaled how long did it take insurance company to replace your car?

Where I am if the damage is over $1500 you legally have to make a police report within 24 hrs, tow truck drivers are not even allowed to tow your vehicle anywhere but the police reporting station. Have you spoken to your insurance yet? If not call them. When my car was written off I got a check within 2 weeks.

It was -19 today, so I can’t do anything until tomorrow. Everything is shut down. And my damage is over 10,000. I called police and ever after seeing my car they tried to tell me they don’t do police reports unless someone got hurt.

In our state if theres more than $500 in damage then you have to have a police report. How does one car come out without a scratch? Who's at fault? And it's more complicated becuase the insured wasnt driving.

@infamousmama_, and I tried to report it.. I called police to my home. I was told they don’t get involved unless I’m injured.

Call your insurance company to see what they need from you. They will send an adjuster out to inspect the car. If you have rental coverage then they will cover a rental while you’re waiting for the claim to process.

Pretty sure insurance requires a report for your car to be covered. Call and talk to them

Depends how quickly the adjuster can look at it. Then they will settle with you.

I called police to my home, they said if I’m not hurt there’s no reason for them to be involved.

You need to speak with another officer!! I was in an accident a few months back (side swipe) no one was hurt and I was still able to file a police report. People do it all the time for insurance purposes.
