Ive tried converting her bed to a toddler and my daughter was scared. She refused to sleep in it. I found her on the floor by her closet in the morning so i just switched it back to a crib.

@katelynknitseverything lol I was worried she'd fall on her noggin but she never did. She now sleeps on stuffed animals pillows and blankets but not her bed😂

I can’t remember exactly but we converted her crib to a toddler bed at 2.5 years old. She was always a very wild sleeper so I waited until she was actually sleeping in mostly one spot so she could use a pillow and blanket, and not fall out of bed. I also wanted to make sure she understood that she had to stay in bed and couldn’t just wander around at night. It was perfect timing and she adjusted very easily. My advice is don’t rush into it. Being able to leave them in the crib is pretty nice. Once they have the freedom then you have to deal with them getting up, fighting sleep, stalling etc.

I guess you have a point there. We’ve been lucky and baby bud hasn’t tried to climb out of his crib yet, but he sleeps through the night less often than his sister does 😂

@katelynknitseverything, definitely wait then. If he’s not sleeping thru the night in a crib it’s unlikely he will sleep thru in a toddler bed. And if he’s not climbing out then there’s really no reason to make a change.
