My daughter is “tall” for a being just one years old and someone (who thought she was older) was shocked when they found out she still drinks formula. It got me thinking, at what age did you mamas introduce milk to your littles and did any of you start them out with non-dairy milk?
We switched just after 1. Ped wanted him on it longer due to weight but we went ahead and switched anyway.
A little after one I switched my oldest to whole milk (Formula to whole milk).
I still breastfeed my youngest but around 2 I'll switch her.
Her next check up is in February. I’m noticing she takes after me with the inability to consume dairy products. I’d want to make sure with before giving her cow milk or almond milk. Thanks for telling, had no idea based off the formula ages printed on the cans.
@cafebustelo yeah Also says on some of the formula newborn to 12 months but At first ur daughter will have some pooping issues due to not being used to the change but she should get use to it and u talk to the doctor and they will give u meds that runs on my kids father side a lot so I had to make sure as well
@cafebustelo also my son is tall for his age too at wic they said he looks 3 lmao I was offended but he’s actually 1
I gave my daughter some at 10 months my wic people say try it now so she likes it when she’s one and my son can’t have regular milk so he still gets formula and he’s one and he gets 1% milk to
I’m lactose intolerant and noticed by daughter gets tummy issues when she eats dairy products in her meals. I’m thinking of skipping cows milk and start her on something else.
@cafebustelo my son had tummy issues when he started the milk due to was only used to the formula so I had talked to his doc he had gave me medicine for him but now he’s use to it and is just fine kids father is lactose as well
Get lactose free milk thats what I have to do with my daughter. Health dept says they should be off formula at one.
