I know a lot of people who have named their children something hideous.
I remember on BB there was even someone who wanted to name their child trashcan or something like that. To be pronounced tra-Shawn. Could be wrong but it was close to it lol
My brother wants to name his daughter Maryester. Because he loves the name Ester but she likes Mary.

why doesn't he just do Mary-Esther (like Mary-Anne)? Also, biblically, it's spelled Esther, not Ester lol.
@wallflowerrose i have no clue. Im sure they'll change it by time shes born. They had crazy names for their first child and ended up with Geniveive.
I always choose a name that I think other kids won't tease my kids about.

Lol I went to register my little girls birth the other day and the lady asked me how I was spelling Olivia... what other way is there to spell it other than Olivia ?! She said she’s seen some bizarre spelling of names !
@ooshefit2, @jdhuff92, I would not be the judging the child by their name at all. I would be 100% be judging the parents and their morality, though. And apparently I’m not wrong to think so because the girl that said she was choosing the name Lucifer literally just said the father is Satanic and that’s why they chose it. Personally, just not people I would care to socialize with, that’s all 🤷🏻♀️
I don't judge them by what religion she associate with but I'm thinking that child could get some backlash for his name in the future. This is a cruel world.

@mrsmord I guess it isn't my child though. My kids have pretty normal names. At least you can say them and they aren't apple or something lol there's a girl at work naming her son something I didn't like. I was like oh ok lol

@wallflowerrose, sadly enough she was pretty serious about it. She didn’t see anything wrong with it. She liked it because it went so well with her daughters name
I saw it and I like the name if it wouldn’t have been “Satan’s name” but I wouldn’t even put it if I know that’s Satan’s name. I hope he doesn’t get tease when he’s older.
My husband and I both like the name and we are familiar with the store in the Bible but we can’t see the name on a paper either and now how the world is people will freak out and judge and bully a innocent child because of his name so we rather not have a name like that so our child doesn’t go through anything bad growing up.

Our girls names are from a tv show & a video game but not many people know what they’re from & our sons name is going to be Jareth & so far no one has figured out what movie that’s from. We go for names that fit in with normal names but are different & have meaning to us in some way. My kids will have a life time of spelling out their names for people lol. Most people get our last name wrong also so it’s normal for us at this point.
I agree! Those poor children when they’re older or in school. At least give them a normal first name lol. That was my biggest thing with both kids. Giving them a name they could use in a job interview without someone’s eyes going wide lol

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
