At what age did you first give your kids peanuts or peanut butter!?
I had made me a peanut Butter and jelly sandwich one time and I left it unattended and he saw it and when I come back he had it and was eating it and nothing happened thank God he was going to turn one or had just turned one it was scary but ever since then I’ve giving him peanut Butter and he loves it.

I was, my heartbeat started to raise and I called my mom quick and asked her what should I do and she said to keep an eye on him but if nothing happened the moment he put it in his mouth that he would be fine but to keep a close eye on him in case he would have a late reaction to the peanut butter.
No food allergies in either family and I waited until 7 months and gave him a tiny bite of almond butter. He had no reaction, a month later I started mixing a teaspoon of almond butter in his mashed bananas for breakfast and he was fine. He eats either almond or peanut butter everyday now and loves it. It’s very healthy.. I’d just go ahead and let her try it and monitor her but if no reaction, it’s safe.
9 months. No food allergies in our family so I was not worried
I did around 8 or 9 months. I was hesitant but I’ve read about introducing possible allergens sooner than later. I introduced egg around that age too.
She's been eating eggs since about 6-7 months and she's fine with those.. Idk why peanut butter makes me so nervous lol
I introduced it 1 time at about 9 months and she did just fine. I did it again at 11 months and she had a major allergic reaction that ended us up in the er. I was told I should of introduced it earlier. 😑
@mommy_x3 ya scariest moment with her so far. Fat lips, swollen watery eyes, and red patches all over her face and body
Kaysen I didn’t till I think 1.
Koopers been eating peanut butter for a few months now nether have ever had nuts though I’m so scared of them choking
@mommy_x3, lol weird but I guess kaysen isn’t a huge fan of it either he loves jelly 😂
@mommy_x3, picky little guys 😂 I don’t really like it either so I don’t blame them 😅
I think 7 months I gave my son peanut butter ice cream. I was soooo nervous and swore I would only give it to him at the doctors office Incase of an allergic reaction. But his pediatrician assured me the chances of him having an allergy like that at this age are highly unlikely and it’s better to introduce it to them young!
Thank you! I didn't know that.. I'll probably try it with her soon 😬
I was just told at my daughters 9 month appointment that I should have introduced it at 6 months and to do it right away. The doctor told me new studies show the earlier it’s introduced, the less likely it is an allergy will develop. I still haven’t given it to her. It makes me nervous. I waited until 1 yr for my son.
I didn't know that! But I'm scared to try it too.. My oldest didn't have it till after he was 2 and my youngest son tried it for the first time a couple months ago lol
@mombie4ever @happymamato2 @michellemybell09 I'm so scared to give it to Eliana lol
@mommy_x3, probably scares me more with her because she did break out with a rash after having pears and an upset tummy so they told me she could be sensitive to it and to not introduce it again until she’s older. So I worry that what if she will be like that with other foods. it’s hard.
My daughters pediatrician said it is better to introduce at younger age now than to wait.. helps prevent other food allergies
Introducing peanuts/Peanut butter
"The National Institutes of Health announced Thursday that a panel of allergy experts recommends that parents introduce peanut-containing foods into the diets of babies as young as 4 to 6 months." Am I the last to know?

Can I interest anyone in a peanut m&m cookie?

Cautiously happy ? Praying my little peanut gets super comfy and grows healthy ??❤️
Peanut butter like 6 months
