Working in a drug & alcohol rehabilitation center is one of the funnest jobs I’ve had in a while. Aside from my patients addictions, their stories are mind blowing & breath taking. It’s not always a walk in the park but you have to learn to not take anything personal. They’re battling their own demons

You know drug addicts and drunks are the funniest people I know. And the most down to earth. My sister fight drug addiction, and it breaks my heart. I come from a long Line of alcoholism. My family is funny asf though they have some stories.I myself is choosing to break that cycle of dysfunction and alcoholism for my own children.

My “baby daddy” boyfriend, is a recovering addict, and he’s one of the funniest, most amazing, supportive, empathic and kind people I have ever met in my life. I think the world of him despite his struggle, and I think the hardship has made him an even cooler human. I could imagine that your job is both exhausting and amazingly rewarding!

It definitely is both. This is one job where I don’t mind waking up at 4am because I know at work they’ll keep me moving and the time moving. It’s tedious sometimes because the mental frame some are in, one actually grabbed me and pushed himself up against me and I almost broke his neck. All my morals went out the window when he did that
