@dawnrose @drugsarebadmkay @uglymombeautifulboy0910 @damn.it.red @tinyhumansbitch @madhatter @massgirl @momxwifexwitch I see no problem with it either. I do think it is important to at least make an effort to teach that child where they come from and all abt their biological ethnic background.

I don’t think it matters lol as long as the child is taken care of and loved.

My friend adopted 2 from Thailand. She celebrates all the major Thai holidays and learned how to cook Thai food.
I think it’s amazing but important to keep their heritage alive too.
If you’re a white mom adopting a black baby learn how to do their hair! I learned that on this is us. 🙃

As long as they're loved and cared for I see no issue with it.

I have 3 cousins who could not have children of their own. Each of them has adopted children/a child outside of our race. They all make sure teach their children about their backgrounds or the country they were adopted from.

It doesn’t bother me AT ALL but we were also just talking about it at work today. I was saying that if a child looked like any resemblance toward me, I would probably pretend that they weren’t adopted and they were mine. If they were a different race, obviously a conversation would need to be had BUT I would let them know that no matter who birthed them, IM their mom and love them as if I birthed them myself

I think it's amazing to adopt at all. All babies of different races need parents. Doesn't matter the race.

A child’s race never even crossed my mind when i thought of adopotion. I was thinking of just going with my feelings and who i would connect with.
As far as the child coming from a different background, i think it would be important to introduce them to their culture and if it happens to be different from ours, well then we will all explore and learn together 😊

@uglymombeautifulboy0910 Obviously, but if you aren't of the same background it might be difficult to teach it to a child.

@uglymombeautifulboy0910 my point here is, some ppl dnt see it necessary to learn another background. For example, my coworker is black .. Her parents are white. She knows NOTHING abt the black culture and to me, that's a problem. If you commit to raising a child outside of your race, commit to teaching them abt where they come from and everything that has to do with their culture. Period.

I think it's disgusting that people would only consider giving a home to a child of their own race. Those people shouldn't be allowed to adopt in my opinion. Every child deserves a loving home. My fiance and I plan to adopt and foster in the near future and the race of a child is nothing that we would ever consider.

I see no problem with it at all. Adoption is a beautiful thing. It creates beautiful blended families that are able to learn and celebrate different cultures.

There’s this lady I follow on Instagram and she just adopted this boy and she speaks all about it and how she hopes to adopt another child to have racial mirrors (as she says) within their family

I don’t see a problem with it. As long as they are accepting and loving who cares.
