What do you avoid to eat while breastfeeding?

You avoid all boosters for breastmilk and possibly dairy depending on baby. Everything else is a go. Nothing needs to be avoided unless symptoms arise.

It depends on the baby. With my second I could eat anything I wanted and baby was fine. With my third I had to not eat acidic food or it would upset my baby’s tummy.

I don’t avoid any types of food 🤷🏼‍♀️All I’ve ever been told at my breastfeeding class and at the hospital was to follow a well-balanced healthy diet.

I had to limit chocolate milk with my 1st, it gave her gas. So far, citrus stuff like strawberries and orange juice gives my son gas. Lol

I was told at breastfeeding classes, and by lactation consultants that you don’t have to change your diet at all. I haven’t, and so far all has been well 🤷🏼‍♀️.

I didn’t change my diet at all from when I was pregnant. My child had no sensitivities either. My Mexican family insisted I didn’t eat spicy foods, but I did. My daughter loves spicy foods now. They also would say not to eat beans but that’s the main part of my diet so I did not stop.

Definitely chocolate and too much candy

When I was breast feeding they told me to avoid tomatoes, chocolate and almonds. I was like ugh that's pretty much all I eat.
