I completely understand what you mean. When I said "lucky" I didn't mean to make it sound like you had it easy.
I made the comment because spoken to 3 different adults who were diagnosed when they were adults and all of them have said to me that they wish that they had been diagnosed sooner.
@laywatz I see. But I still hate it when people consider it a worry. The same goes for down syndrome.

I was thrilled when we received my daughter's diagnosis, but my husband's side of the family acted like it was the end of the world. I had to explain that my kid isn't less than just because she's autistic. And that they needed to stop acting like i just told them that she had a terminal illness. My kid is amazing and there's nothing wrong with thinking outside of the box.

Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Things I never thought I'd say...
Until I became a mom:
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I find this a bit confusing anyways because at least from what I've learned in psychology course, self readings, and baby books (on sleep for example), a child AND ADULT can have all or some of these symptoms due to pain, overtired, too much stimulus(a child/adult with or without mental disorders can be overwhelmed at stimulation), scheduling instability, household/family instability/abuse. Shouldn't be just labeled as "autism meltdown" I think it should be labeled as "consult a professional and do some looking into the home environment". My opinion.
