Depends on the child my eldest took his first steps just before he was 2, and used a pram until around 3 and half, but the other two stopped using them at 2, my friends son used a pram until 6 as the waiting list for his wheelchair making and fitting was so long.. looking at him in a pram you would assume he's a too old and should be walking etc therefore I try not to judge, also when I worked at a school nursery we had a child collected in a pram, but he lived 2 miles away in a village with no buses and mum didn't drive x

I think everyone is different. I would personally stop using a push chair once my son is able to walk long distances or at least walk properly. On the other hand if I’m rushing about and he’s still young, I’d probably put him in the push chair. My max age to have him in one would be about 3 though. As I said, everyone’s different and tbh if your rushed of your feet like I said, sometimes it’s easier to grab the buggy✊🏼

2 I’d say, 3 max i think if going somewhere far. Erin’s old school there was a girl in her class who’d run out and be made to get in the buggy she always kicked off and didn’t want to lol that was odd

We stopped using it by around 2 1/2, mainly as she wanted to get out and walk every 5 minutes! Bethany's had lots of shoulder rides since then, although we encourage her bike and now her scooter in case her legs get tired.

Her grandparents insisted on using their pushchair for a year after that, until hubby intervened and told them no more. Doesn't surprise me that much, they had her in a rear-facing pushchair until she was nearly 2 and kept saying "ooh she keeps craning her head out to look around" even though when she was 12 months old, we'd told them 3 times to turn her around.

I think older than 3 is a no from me! A 4 year old in a pushchair just seems odd? Erica’s not even 2 and we only use it if we’re going for a long walk xx

Morgan was about 2.5 BUT he had a buggy board for a while after. By 3 he was walking everywhere. Max however. Because I'm not using a buggy board he relies on the pushchair much more. I'm trying to let him walk a bit more but I'm always in a rush and don't have time to let him stroll to Nursery & school! Long story straight I have no idea when he'll be out of it 😂😂😂 Although I think 5 is way too old. I guess we never know the circumstance of why they might be in one...

Just to say the kids might not be 4-5 years lol my son is in nursery and his 2 years old but looks like a 4 year old lol, I drive so his no longer in a buggy 🙈 but if I weren’t driving he would be till at least 3years of age or at least a buggy board on new norm buggy

Abbie was 3 in December. If we go out for the day, like to the zoo or something, we take it as she’ll hve a little rest in it in middle of the day. For day to day tho, she hasn’t used it for 7/8 months really. xx

Ethans just turned 2 and I've just started letting him walk short distances on the reins, mainly to tire him out, but also he takes soo long, he's small for being 2 soo happy for him to use the buggy for a bit longer xx

I think 2/3, following this post as in two minds if I get a double buggy or not with a 26/27 month age gap we walk a lot daily so he always uses buggy for some of that and runs/walks the rest

I recon top end of two beginning of three. Unless it's a long day trip or something then take it with them as a back up. Also we've been advised most kids use them for Disney up til about 6/7 coz of the miles and miles of walking 😂

My daughter is 4 she not had one for a long time it was about 2 when she was in one

@abbyrose, @kerryy23, @courtniek98x, Lola hasn’t been in anpushchair for months but I think that’s more because of Maeve. Just curious as I’ve noticed parents picking up their nursery and reception children from school (so 4 and 5 year olds) and they are coming out and getting into pushchairs. I just found it a bit bizarre!

2/3 Harper’s 2 and a half and she hasn’t had a pushchair or trike for over 6 month she prefers to walk so it kinda depends on the child too x

Kylans 2.8 and he still uses the pushchair if we go anywhere further than the corner shop/nursery
