For all of y’all that are pregnant - what are the things your excited for to enjoy AFTER the baby???? For me it’ll be 1) wine 2) some edibles honestly ( don’t judge me ) 3) sex without a belly in the way 4) endless sushi 5) less heartburn 6) getting back to my normal body ^ in that order !

Anything with shrimp, lobster, or eel is cooked as well as spider rolls and anything tempura.

But how do I know if a roll that has something cooked that everything is cooked?

@bubbys.mommy, Just inform them that you’re pregnant and ask them what rolls they have that are fully cooked. Your best bet is going to be to go with something that has one of those seafood items I mentioned and veggies in it, that way you’re 100% sure. Tempura rolls will always be cooked all the way through because they’re deep fried.

California roll is the most popular. Any other time I look for something that deep fried or baked.

Do you get fried and teriyaki chicken rolls over there? They are fine to eat as well.

Okay so no roe. But how do I know if everything in the roll is cooked? Like say I know one thing is cooked would they mix it with something that’s not cooked?

I Australia (don't think it would be any different though...) we are warned against eating sushi while pregnant due to the risk of listeria from the cooked rice, not just the raw fish. Unless it is made fresh in front of you I wouldn't risk it.

Cooked rice? That’s odd! That’s not something we’re told we can’t eat lol it’s the raw fish cause of salmonella(I think it’s that)

@bubbys.mommy could be different in Australia, but the Listeria bug can be present in salads, unwashed fruit and veg, premade foods like sushi, wraps, deli meat dairy products...

yeah that’s stuff they tell us about here too but not rice. I guess everywhere is different
