Seems like there’s nothing I can do to keep my baby awake during the day. Took him all around my work today meeting people and it was bright outside and people were loud. Some held him and even that didn’t wake him up.
Do babies just randomly start sleeping during the night and staying up during the day? Or do I have to keep him awake mostly during the day for him to sleep during the night?!
Baby will stay awake longer as he grows, its best to let him take the lead on it. My girls slept most of the time until about 5-6 months(that may be a little later than usual because they were preemies I'm not sure) I was concerned when they weren't doing much and brought it up to their doctor, but she told me it is normal and when they are ready they will start staying up longer stretches, especially when they start learning to do new things as they will try to stay awake to "perfect" their new "talent".
Eventually he will start staying awake on his own during the day and sleeping more at night. It will just take some time for him to figure it out. You just need to be patient
Ur baby is a newborn at 1 month my child always slept he started staying awake once he became older like 6 months and up... they need their sleep.
I just let harper sleep when she wanted she adjusted on her own
He’s only 1 month babies don’t know yet the difference from night and day they will sleep a lot at this age during the nap there’s really nothing you can do my son slept a lot when he was 1 month and slept fine at night eventually as he gets older there figure out when to sleep better
The baby will figure it out himself. He’s too young for schedules right now.
If I try to keep my baby up during the day, she gets really crabby and overtired and then won’t sleep good that night. I’ve always had the best luck with just letting the baby take the lead. I let her sleep whenever she wants during the day and then she still sleeps through the night. My son was exactly like my daughter. Every baby is different though.
My bf's mom keeps telling me i need to keep my baby up for hours during the day to sleep longer at night. Uhhh no you don't deal with any overtired baby I do.
Okay mom's who have had their babies, how do I keep my 6 day old awake during the day?????? He sleeps too much during the day and is wide awake at night and it's making me and his daddy argue in the middle of the night cause he thinks he needs to sleep and mommy doesn't.... 😒 so someone help me please???
To all the mommys out there! When did your baby stop waking up for night feedings and did you have to sleep train them to do so or did they just eventually stop waking up to eat! My son eats more at night than during the day and this mommy is TIRED!
3 week old sleeps all day and up all night. I know I can't keep him up during the day but what do i do?
My baby's sleeping schedule is so messed up 😒 almost 3 in the morning and he's wide awake. Any help on trying to change that? It's kinda hard to keep him awake during the day he's only two weeks old all he does is basically sleep😓
What I try to do is keep it bright and noisy during the day. Then at night swaddle and have it dark with white noise. When they wake up in the middle of the night keep it as dark as possible, we use a night light so I can see.
