Hey guys! David and I are trying to plan our vacation for this year, which we usually take in March/April. We’re kind of short on ideas this year (everywhere I want to go is out of the country and airfare is a killer expense). I was thinking about The Redwood Forest in California, it’s someplace I’ve always wanted to visit.

One thing David is always worried about is running out of things to do, so what are some other things around there to do? I know there’s Crescent City beach but he isn’t super fond of beaches. Any nearby cities with fun things?

Or any other recommendations for places to go? We went to Universal Orlando last year, and gatlinburg the year before, and then Seattle in 2015. I’ve also been to Chicago, NYC, All the beaches along the southern US...I’d like to go somewhere new that isn’t super crowded like LA , Chicago, or Orlando.

The only thing I’m concerned about it the time of year. We normally take vacation in early spring (late March-mid April) and I’m not sure what the weather looks like there around that time. In Tennessee it’s a toss-up from day to day, one day it’s 80° and the next it’s snowing. 😂

@scurlock.mommy around this time of year it's typically a little chillier sometimes it's snowing especially the closer towards the mountains and Big Bear that you get. I know it is colder and rainy depending on what part of the Redwoods you're in this time of year ... It wouldn't hurt to Google it. I've been they're both in the warm months and cold months and both times it was beautiful both In the redwoods and Big Bear
