For any new mama’s on here experiencing post partum depression. Please don’t hesitate to seek out help! Taking care of a newborn is hard work and when you add in the extreme hormone fall out that our bodies go through it is a miracle that we all manage what we do.

I had PPD after my twins were born, very severe mood swings, bursts of crying, feeling lost and helpless. I just want you other mama’s to know you aren’t alone! Your SO may not get it and likely won’t be sensitive to what is happening to you so it will be up to you to get help.

I turned to vitamins (I wasn’t breastfeeding) and I began a regiment of liquid magnesium (tastes horrible), B complex, B 12 chewable, and women’s ultra mega for metabolism and energy. This drastically changed my life and turned a downward spiral around. I had previous issues with anxiety and depression and was able to recognize what was going on before things go way out of hand.

Consult with your primary care doctor for help and stay safe and happy mama’s!

I pretty sure I experienced this a few weeks ago. Getting a lot better. Now I’m just stress about leaving him and going back to work

I as well had ppd bad for 4 months I locked myself in my room with my baby i was so sad and depressed I had a overwhelming fear that someone was as going to steal my baby I had dreams about it every night I'd wake up crying in a coldsweats I was terrified someone was coming. It sucked bcuz I knew It was in my head and none was going to take her but i couldn't rationalize it. i didn't really eat and didn't go out unless I had to. My daughter learned how to sit up on a bed bcux that where we where my husband went with me for my check up and told them what was happening I was put on meds and life began to be better again. I wish I would have gone sooner but glad I went when I did

Thank you for sharing! So many of us are confused or embarrassed from these feelings bc we want our babies so badly but then experience PPD and are totally thrown. I remember trying to explain myself to my SO and he was just mad and said something like “but you wanted kids so badly you don’t make sense” not what someone with PPD needs to hear at all. I am glad you got something to help you!

I’m not an MD but I work in the pharmaceutical industry and I have researched the hell out of all of this. My insurance is the same way so I totally get it. I hope it helps!

Omg I had it really bad after my twins. I'm still coming down off it I swear. I've been seeing a therapist but I'm not taking meds for it. I was wondering what natural remedies I could use but going to a specialist for that is not covered by my insurance. So thinks for the info. Maybe I could try some of these suggestions
