My 6 month old has 4 teeth and I breastfeed but since yesterday he started bitting my nipple. It got so bad he got blood out too. How do you guys do it. Positive comments only please ! Thank you
I thankfully only got bit on purpose a handful of times and mostly right after a new tooth had come in. But I always took the nipple away every time it happened and he stopped doing it on purpose and only nips now if he is asleep. -.- lol can’t do much about it then but I do hope it gets better soon!
They tend to bite when they are full, so once he is satisfied take it away
Take away your boob immediately and don’t give it back for a little while. Be very stern and tell him things like “No.” “Ow that hurts mommy.” “No biting.” He should start associating you keeping your boob away and telling him no happening every time he bites. Biting is the worst part of breastfeeding. 😫
I tell him and he laughs and punches my nipple so I can put it back in his mouth . It’s so painful I feel worse than when I just started breastfeeding and my nipples would crack 😫
@dj-du, When my son wasn’t getting the hint I would have to completely put my boob away and set him down. He might fuss or cry for a little bit, but he usually always stopped biting after I set him down.
@bitchcraft, I do that and he cry’s blood murder 😭
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

I breastfed for two years. He had a dull set of teeth basically when I stopped. Take the nipple away when you get bit. They learn not to bite and they don't always do it on purpose. Try not to get frustrated and just take a little break before offering the breast again.
