Is this really naughty?? Maeve has never had a dummy but she sucks on a bottle when it’s empty for comfort and I worry it’s making her bloated taking in air. I stuck a dummy in out of curiousity and she’s sucking away on it... have I made a horrible mistake introducing a dummy this late??

My son never took to a dummy, i did try many times and didn't sleep all the night through till he got to about 18 months old. I was admit not to introduce a dummy, cause I thought it was too late so I introduced him sleeping with a teddy. And he now goes all night long and finds comfort in the tags on his teddy bears. Just keep the dummy for night times and night times old that way it might be easier to ween her off of it xx
You can always use it for specific times I’d prefer to use a dummy than a bottle too, hope you get a decent sleep from now onwards!
She’s still in her cot with it now and hasn’t stirred at all! Definitely going to consider it for bedtime!
No its not wrong, at some point you wouldve taken the bottle away :) and at some point you can still take the dummy away :)
Maybe block up the bottle teat? Xx
I don’t think I’d feel too happy blocking up a teat. She only uses a size 1 teat as she can’t handle anything more than that.

I did this to my eldest when his sister was born because he was jealous. Happy to say it was just a short phase and stopped taking the dummy after 3 months xx

@mrsbodell hopefully hun! It soothes her so hopefully it will let her sleep through. I don't see anything wrong with it tbh. My daughter didn't stop taking the dummy until she was 2 and a half xx

Well it’s official we are doing remote learning in the fall. The school board voted and went along with what the superintendent wanted. I can’t even say I’m upset or mad about it cause I do think it was the right decision and we had a bit of a warning that this was how it was going to go. Even though I’m in a good position, a sahm, and very fortunate I can still say it sucks lol. What about your kids school?
