Do you make your kids eat everything? Or
Do you let them choose how much to eat?

Eat at least 75% of it on certain occasions.

I just make my 2yr what he wants and save myself the stress. Doesn't matter if its the same thing every night, if he eats it's a win.

I'm not too strict on it. You will try it, that's all I ask. I cook things that I know everyone likes so nobody has any excuse to not eat. Last week I made one of my oldest's favorite dishes and without even looking at it he said he didn't like it. He refused to eat (or even look at his plate) and didn't ask for anything else to eat because he already knew the answer. I don't usually have problems with them not wanting to eat so I don't have to be strict about it

Omg. I would love to not be strict about it lol..

My husband and I are inconsistent. He believes in "eat everything... Doesn't matter how long it takes". Because his father did that to him... But I'm happy if they at least try everything... It's an on going battle

So my 6 year old won't eat ground beef (hates the texture of it)
So when we have spaghetti she gets noodles and sauce
When we have tacos we have "vegetarian taco salad"
Basically I just alternating what we are having to fit her needs
My 2 year old will eat anything you put in front of her 😂

I let them eat whatever amount they want. If they want to eat half that’s fine. If they want seconds that’s also fine. Mind you they are only 2 years 3 months and 1 year and 4 months.

We let them choose, I dont force my son to sit there and eat all his food. My parents did that to me and I hated it.

I let Declan eat as much as he wants, but if he barely touches it...when he comes asking for a snack later, I’ll hand him his same plate from the fridge. After doing this awhile, he started eating all his dinner so he could have a fun snack before bedtime.

Saving the same plate is a great idea... Why didn't I think of that? Lol
