Anyone else not going all out this Christmas? Can't help but shift the guilt of not buying Noah…

You have got him some gifts, you love him to bits and you have a roof over his head what more could you want for him he has it all already! So stop feeling guilty there’s nothing to be guilty about xx

Don't feel guilty, he'll have things to open, he'll have you there to play with his toys with him and he'll have a lovely Christmas. He's still at an age where he doesn't really know what's going on :)

We aren't getting Theo much this year, there's no need, he has already taken over my living room and his bedroom and playroom are full of toys. We have other people buying things we have looked at for him, but only because they didn't know what to get him. I also think it's nice to teach kids that Christmas isn't just about receiving gifts it's also about who's with you and the thought you put into other people's gifts :) xx

I’ve only got the girls a few toys the rest is clothes because they have loads of toys already half of which they don’t play with xxx

It's not presents children need but your presence. Haha cringy line for you. But it's really true. When I asked Morgan what he remembered from last Christmas not one thing was about any toys or presents he got but he remembered his cousins coming over and us eating party food 😂 And seeing Reindeers. We've cut back each year because we've learnt they really don't need much. They get overwhelmed & end up not appreciating what they have. I'd take a cosy home and a few gifts & spending time at home with my family any day 🤗

He really doesn't need more toys seems his birthday was in September and he got loads and i agree it's the people you spend time with that mean the most 😊 just glad to see im not the only one not going mad and it can be okay to keep it simple xx

I’m mainly concentrating on making the house look & feel Christmassy and basically the whole time feel as magical & Christmassy as I can possibly make it all. Think back to Christmas when you was a kid I bet the main thing you remember is the build up to Christmas, the Christmassy feeling, the excitement of it all, the lights, the Christmas tree & decs, honestly believing you heard the bells from Santas sleigh on Christmas Eve and telling ya mum the next morning etc now can you remember how many presents was under the tree?

I’m not going crazy and buying lil man 1001 presents, their not goin to be their memories especially at this age, what their goin to remember is basically what you remember about Christmas as a kid the magic and the people around you etc not what or how many presents was under the tree. He’s gonna love Christmas morning no matter how many presents are under the tree, and I bet he’s already loving it all xx

We spent a fortune on Bethany's birthday in September, so have stuck to a tighter budget for Christmas.

We agreed on half a dozen gifts for her, plus her stocking presents from Santa which are all £5 or less - although I found a few bargains there, so it won't all fit... (I found a singing unicorn that was originally £16, but only £5 the day I ordered it)

We're spending Christmas day at my parents, who have bought her quite a lot - then boxing day with the in laws, who between everyone will also have bought her quite a lot - so she'll still have loads to open.

I think Christmas has become more about being with family and stuff for us now. We're saving for our home and also a baby now and everyone's been quite understanding! Those who matter will be. We got family small gifts but our priorities definitely have changed! Xx
