So they make you do the diabetes testing at the beginning of your pregnancy now?! I have to collect my urine for 24hrs, then go do my glucose test... 🤔
I DIDN’T have gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy. They said they make you do it early if your BMI is over 40. Mine is 41. I had a lot of sac fluid with my first && they thought I would have GD, but I didn’t. So I guess the only logical reason is because my BMI is over 40.
@zoeysmom28 yep. That's exactly it. Not sure on the 24hr protein though, that's odd. Good luck on both!!

I did mine around 30 weeks. But I didn’t have to collect my urine for 24 hours I had to drink some nasty drink sit there for an hour then they took my blood
Did you have gd with your first? If so they make you test at 13 weeks to just see it you show signs.

I had to do that too at 13 weeks. I didn't understand why bc if you develop GD, you won't develop it until after 20 weeks. Did u have GD before? I had it with my son and I figured they tested me early with this pregnancy bc I had it with my last.

They make me do it because of my BMI. I asked last time and they said it was bc I am over 200 lbs which puts me in a higher BMI for my height. The 24hr thing is protein, I did that for my pre-e at the end of my pregnancy with my daughter, not sure what it tells you this early but you have my sympathy!
