So.... How do I even start the process of getting a home loan?! I found one that I've ALWAYS loved and it's finally for sale! And cheap too! I can do a substantial down payment and monthly payments can be a little higher than what the estimate was. That's all fine and good. Money isn't the issue, it's my credit. It's not that great because I'm still so young. Where do I start?! Help me out here ladies!!
We did ours through Rocket Mortgage, and they had the best rate. They also were very on top of things, always got back to us within a day, and set us up with an awesome realtor.
Contact mortgage broker in your area and see what they can do. Some are better than others. They will look at your credit and debt to income ratio. If they can’t help with loan they can point you in right direction to repair credit/debit. If you get a pre approved you can then contact a Realtor.
I would contact a mortgage broker. Best thing I ever did was finding my own and having one that worked for ME not a realtor. They don't cost you out of pocket.
Our bank pre-approved us for much lower than other options did. We most recently went through AMEC and I would definitely recommend them.
216-236-7284 this is a number for who im working with his name is jonathon harnish i just got my first home loan and my credit isnt great tell him i referred you and he will work with you on getting the house 😀
Go down to the bank you use or do it online. If u need a co signer your down payment is significantly more. Or they will just give u a high interest rate due to lack of credit
Going through this process myself right now. What bank do you use? Ours (Chase) was able to preapprove us for a loan. Also the realtor we’re working with had some loan resources as well just in case we wanted to compare rates. I thought the preapproval was helpful as it let us know how much the bank would lend us taking our credit into account. It also gave us an estimate on monthly payments.
I was going to post something like this. Has anyone used a FHA loan.?
