Yes. I grew up never kissing any family members on the lips, so to begin with I thought it was weird that my OH still kisses his Mom and Dad on the lips (he’s 26, they’re 50-55)
But after having kids I don’t see why it’s weird anymore. You share a special bond with your kids that lasts a lifetime. Kissing on the lips doesn’t have to be sexualised. It’s a beautiful gesture of love.
Before I had my son I was kind of against anybody kissing babies or kids on the mouth even the parents because of just you know germs spreading sickness and stuff. But now because he sees me and his dad kiss all the time, he has to just kiss me on my mouth, he won’t kiss my cheek. LOL
And to answer your question my fiancé kisses our son on the mouth. I don’t really care.

So what age would you stop kissing your child on the mouth?
@pamelawife134, as soon as he is old enough to understand he can give me kisses on my cheek instead. I try to turn my head so that way his lips land on my cheek so hopefully he’ll start understanding soon.

We don’t kiss our children on the lips, not cuz we think it’s sexual or anything, mainly cuz I’m scared that I might be sick and not realize it yet then give it to the kids lol
