Anyone use elderberries for kids immune system?
Well, im in cali so we have everything here 😕 im able to buy berries in bulk at the store. BUT the berries can easily be bought off amazon. As well as other ingredients but you may want some good local honey.
@scidg3 if you can, definitely! Unless its easy to get amazon shipments
@kambam Do you have any recipes? I'm looking on Amazon and it's like $40-45 for a lb I think my kids would do syrup or gummies... Those are pretty much only forms I'm seeing
@scidg3 I kind of eyeball mine tbh. But I do 1C berry to 4C water and eyeball the rest. Clove, cinnamon, ginger and honey to taste. About 1/2c
We use an elderberry syrup daily.
@scidg3, no my brothers girlfriends mother does
@damn.it.red well that's a long line 😆 I don't mind making it....I guess I'll buy some for now and figure out where I can buy it so I can make it.
Whenever I get my hands on the lozenges I take them in the fall and winter to prevent colds and flu, it also helps shorten colds and flu if you end up getting sick. We have also done the syrup. But it gets expensive.
All 3 of my monster have a cold so I'm wanting to try 😄
I've heard amazing things about it so ive recently started giving my children the zarbee gummies.
We take elderberry daily in a gummy nutritional supplement, and also use elderberry lozenges at the first sign of illness, one every three hours. The brand of lozenges is Sambucol, and can be found at Walmart.
We do 😊 easy to make. I think im gonna try and make lollipops
I heard it's easy and cheap to make! I have no clue where to get it from!
I hear a TON of people doing so! I found toddler gummies at Target with elderberry, but my child hates anything gummy.
The blogger Amy Hawthorne has talked in her Instagram highlights about how she gives them to her two children.
