my son is named after his dad and grandpa I didn't really like the name itd old fashioned but it doesn't bother me he def has his own identity and it's just so he is I don't have any regrets

I echo everybody here and say middle name compromise. I have my grandmother's middle name as my middle name and plan on passing it down should I have a daughter. Both my little brother and my cousin's son have middle names that were the first names of beloved uncles.

I am so against Jrs lol. He should have his own first name. Compromise and let them have it as a middle name for him ☺

Girl I’m still having issues with my mother in law regarding the same issue. She wanted our daughter to have these two specific family names as our daughters middle names and I wasn’t going for it. Still until this day she ask if I’m gonna change it and I’m like no lol. Stand your ground girl don’t let anyone pressure you into doing anything.. maybe to compromise make his name the babies middle name or add a part of it in there. You may make some people mad but oh well! Your baby your choice.

Maybe come up with his own original first name, but name the middle after family?

My son Dominic has his great Grandpa’s middle and his great uncles middle which both of them have the same middle name which is Glenn and I don’t have a problem with it anymore I did at first when my mom suggested it but I wanted to carry the family name on after I got use to the idea of it

My husband was set on having a Jr..wouldn’t give up on it. It was a big no for me. We compromised on the first name and let him have his name be the middle name. Don’t regret it. I would have hated calling a name and them both answering.

I like the family thing and will be making our sons (if it's a boy) middle name after my father and brother. My step son has a name of his grandfather as well.
